UVM Health Network to Maintain Dialysis Centers

Burlington, VA (WCAX) – UVM Health Network Dialysis Centres in Newport, Rutland and St. Albans remain open.

The November network announced plans to close dialysis clinics as part of a drastic cost-cutting plan to stay floating.

but, On Friday, the Green Mountain Care Commission's health care regulator approved a path to ensure patient accessto continue staffing and operating the dialysis center, we will give a green light to budget adjustments for UVM Medical Center.

UVM Medical Center officials say other providers were unable to receive services and lose locations in Newport, Rutland and St. Albans, looking for ways to reduce costs.

In a statement, Dr. Steven Loeffler, president and CEO of UVM Medical Center, said, “While working to identify progress in this important service, the stress and anxiety people felt have apologised to patients for all the stress and anxiety they felt.
