Jeremy was diagnosed and things went downhill quickly.
“They said, 'We got some bad news, you're going to have to dialysis,'” he said.
Things got worse then. He needed a kidney transplant.
Waiting list is long and finding matches outside of biological family is a long shot.
Jeremy's doctor dared to have the courage to do so.
“I said, 'I don't know, maybe 1% of people.” And he said, “No, try 1% points.”
Jeremy didn't know how to find the kidneys.
“I was really surprised. I wasn't thinking about how I could get it. I told you that other than Hannah I signed up to test it out right away,” he said.
“I filled out the paperwork before I left the conversation,” Hanna said.
They beat the odds and biology confirmed that their minds already knew. They're a match.
Hanna donated her kidneys and the transplant was successful. Jeremy gets his kidneys, but Hannah gets something too.
“Bringing Jeremy back is the biggest gift,” she said.
Even doctors who underwent surgery said that medical terminology cannot be felt just.
“It's pretty magical to see these kinds of results,” Shiriski said. “It makes everyone's day, look at this, life continues.”
Hannah said, “It's pretty miraculous in my opinion.”
