Minoka, Illinois – A total of 347 people have raised more than $53,000 towards a $75,000 target known as GoFundMe. “We'll support Natalie's organ transplant fight.” A woman facing health challenges lives in Minoka with her family.
According to GofundMe:
“On Friday, February 7th, when Natalie rushed to the hospital and was diagnosed with organ failure, our lives were upside down. She needs a liver transplant and needs it right away. If we know anything, it means she's standing up for a fight and she pushes her body to do whatever it takes to get home to her family.”
On Tuesday, organizers announced that Natalie had undergone surgery to receive the donor's liver and “we are extremely grateful to the Donor, Loyola Hospital and the incredible surgeons, doctors and nurses who have helped and supported Natalie over the past 11 days.”
The GoFundMe organizer said, “I wanted them to know that all contributions would be about medical expenses, household expenses while they were working, and covering Natalie's important medications that last for the rest of her life.
