She is a former sheriff's aide with 10 years of service and also works as a 911 operator.
Shaina says there are over 90,000 people on the national waiting list for kidney donations. The mothers of the two encourage people to learn more about registering as organ donors and becoming live kidney donors.

“Yes, for now, kidney recipients have a huge waitlist, so we're trying to get them to finish waiting for their kidneys,” McCoy said.
Shina says that autoimmune diseases cause kidney failure and require daily dialysis, which is a nine-hour process.
“I'll go outside, take a test, if you know someone who needs a kidney, make sure it matches and roll the ball,” she said.
If you want to learn more about Shaina and The End the Wait Foundation, you can find it on social media and its website. Friday, March 14th is the last day you will be purchasing tickets for the March 22nd event.
