Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of a truly beautiful soul — Quinn, a boy who touched every life around him with his warmth, kindness, and love. Quinn was one of three triplets, and the bond he shared with his siblings and family was something incredibly special. He had a smile that could light up a room and a heart that overflowed with compassion for others. On top of the unimaginable grief of losing him, his family is now going to face medical expenses, lost wages, and funeral costs. I am reaching out to our community for support during this heartbreaking time — to help lift some of the financial burden so his parents and siblings can focus on healing and honoring his memory.Even in his passing, Quinn’s generosity continues to shine. In the ultimate act of love, he is giving the gift of life as an organ donor, allowing others to live on because of his selflessness. That is who Quinn was — always giving, always caring, and always thinking of others before himself. If you are able to donate, no matter how small, please know that your kindness means the world to his family. Your support will help us celebrate Quinn’s life and carry forward his spirit of love and compassion. We will do an honor walk for Quinn around 4:00pm Tuesday afternoon the 4th, at Mercy Hospital Springfield. We will remove his life support there. As soon as his heart stops they will take him to the O.R. for organ recovery. He will immediately be flown to St. Louis after that for tissue recovery. All friends and family are invited to line the hallway to honor this incredible gift of life and donation. He will then be sent home to be cremated and buried with his sister Ruby.Memorial service will be Saturday at 10:30 am at the State theater.Thank you for your prayers, love, and support during this incredibly difficult time. With love and gratitude, The Lloyd Family

*Honor Walk:  An organ donor honor walk is a ceremonial event held typically in hospitals to honor and recognize individuals who have chosen to donate their organs after death. It is a meaningful way for healthcare teams, family members, and others to pay tribute to the donor’s generosity and life-saving gift. During the honor walk, the donor is often accompanied by healthcare staff, family, and supporters as they are transported to the operating room for organ recovery. Most usually participants line the hallways leading to the operating room.
