MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Two families connected through the magic of organ donation shared a very special moment.

Eight years after receiving a kidney transplant, Ebony Jordan met her donor mother and brother.

On Wednesday, she met her donor's family for the first time at Methodist University Hospital.

Donor Reginald Smith died in a car accident, but his organ donation has saved dozens of lives.

Jordan was diagnosed with kidney disease when he was 11 years old.

She had been on dialysis for nearly 30 years.
