Authorities said the 10-year-old boy who had recently undergone a kidney transplant and needed medicine was found to be safe after a “urgent” search.

According to the local sheriff's office, Mason Combs last left a friend's home in Clarum County and came across a woodland area around 4pm on Tuesday.

He was found safe Wednesday, the Clarum County Sheriff's Office said.

“Thank you to all the incredible volunteers and first responders who have been searching for Mason so enthusiastically!! He is safe and healthy,” the Sheriff's Office said. update On social media, while sharing photos of a child holding a water bottle.

Mason was reported missing by his family on Tuesday, according to Rep. Lorraine Shore of the Clarum County Sheriff's Office.

“Mason needed medicine for a recent kidney transplant and only wore a jacketless T-shirt and pants,” the Clarum County Sheriff's Office said. Social Media Posts on wednesday.

Mason and his family are from North Carolina and have been in Clarum County for the past two weeks, according to Shore.
