BMC Surgery We invite submissions for our collection on “Liver Transplantation.”

Liver transplantation is one of the most effective treatments for end-stage liver disease. Although it has developed rapidly in recent years, there are still many difficulties and challenges. The surgery is very complex and time-consuming. To ensure a successful operation and improve patient outcomes, surgeons need to solve many problems, including extensive surgical trauma and postoperative infections.

To track recent advances in improving surgical safety and success rates, as well as reducing postoperative complications, we have launched a collection on liver transplantation. We invite submissions of research and review articles on the following topics, including but not limited to:

  • Employ minimally invasive techniques in practice.
  • Improved liver preservation techniques.
  • Intraoperative hemodynamic management.
  • Improved surgical procedures.
  • Perioperative infection risk management.
