The Paul Dannelly Public Relations Association Chapter of Susquehanna University Competition to donate The organ donation campaign marks the recognition of the chapter for the fifth consecutive year.
The Silver Keystone Award recognizes outstanding public relations campaigns and tactics that show outstanding planning, creativity and impactful results announced by the Pennsylvania Central Chapter of the American Public Relations Association in the recent Keystone Award Lunch.
Avery Atkins '25, a double major communications and creative writing in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, who is a member of the campaign's planning committee, accepted the award. The event was also attended by Dawn Benfer, general manager of the event. WQSUHe was the MC, and served as a communications lecturer and PRSSA advisor. Berkley also chaired the award.
“Our Keystone Awards program celebrates the stories we tell and our impact as communication and public relations experts,” said Maggi Barton, former president of PRSA Central PA and president of PRSA Central PRSA. “The programme will push the boundaries of creativity for local communicators, connect well with audiences, share innovative campaigns, and find the best way to reflect on the impactful stories created over the past year.
Also, the Silver Keystone Award winner is the College Challenge: Save Lives from the Gift of Life Donor Program, a competition to encourage university students to raise awareness of the benefits of organ donation, with Susquehanna University appearing in the top three competitions for the past five years. This year's car-themed campaign has secured 60 new organ donors.
