WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) – The second annual Dress Giveaway to support organ donation will be held in the coming weeks.

Host Laura Leff spoke on 7 News this morning. You can watch her interview in the video above.

Lev said the design was in honor of his daughter Lucy, who passed away after a sudden illness in 2019. Lev said his girlfriend Lucy’s organ donation saved four lives.

Lucy purchased her wedding dress from Bella Bridal before her death. Bella Bridal then donated the dress to Lucy’s funeral. Later, Vera’s bridal store had a lot of dresses she wanted to give away, so she asked Mr. Lev for help.

The dress giveaway will be held on Saturday, March 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 146 Arsenal Street, Suites 3 and 4 in Watertown.

Dress shops across the state are donating overstock new dresses to support organ donation.

These include wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride and groom dresses, prom dresses, military ball dresses, and more.

People can choose their own dress and donate as much as they like to the Donor Family Network/Team Finger Lakes.

If you have any questions or would like to donate a new dress, please contact Reff at 315-767-1588.
