A Norwalk restaurant owner is back to work after getting a new kidney. It’s a health journey that can only be seen here at KCCI. Senior reporter Todd Magel will guide you. It was a life-changing battle for Andrew Salazar, a pizza and steakhouse here in Norwalk that has long been known for its homemade egg rolls, and now he’s known as a very lucky owner who’s on the job. He says it’s a miracle that he returned. It feels so good. This restaurant has always been like a second home to me and I miss the people. I miss doing what I love: cooking food and putting smiles on people’s faces. Andrew Carson is back in the kitchen of his family’s restaurant. It’s been three months since he received a new kidney from his friend’s wife. He had been ill for years and was so weak that he could not even hold his newborn child. Now everything has changed. He had been sick for so long that he didn’t even know how sick he was, but he began to feel better little by little, thinking that it would be best to say something normal now. I am. He is happy that his dialysis is over. pain and suffering. His customers are also happy. I’m really glad he understood. We got his kidney and he’s doing well and we love coming here, so this is a great place. I just, I feel, I feel, I feel great. Restaurants have always been like a second home to me and I miss doing what I love with people. Just making food and putting smiles on people’s faces.” said Sayasane. He’s back in the kitchen at Wynn’s Family Restaurant. It’s been three months since he received a new kidney from his best friend’s wife. He had been ill for years and was so weak that he couldn’t even pick up his newborn child. Now that’s all changed. “I was sick for a long time, I didn’t even know how sick I was.” And now I’m starting to feel normal, what should I say? ” said Sayasane. He is happy to be free from dialysis, pain and suffering. Joni Golding, his longtime customer, said: “It’s really great that he got his kidney back and is doing well.
